For two years I've been using a large, horizontal Cam-Dry bag to carry my Nikon D80 and 18-200 mm VR lens while sea kayaking and rafting. The camera fit is perfect. When kayaking, I just set the bag between my knees and let any water in the cockpit slosh around the bag all it wants. So far, I've never had a drop enter the bag. I can pop the spray skirt, open the bag, get the camera and take a shot, and then put everything away within a minute or two. My most recent trip (June 2009) was 9 days kayaking in Prince William Sound. The last 6 days were pouring rain and the usual Alaskan sufferfest, but I still have a dry camera. I'm 100% satisfied with this bag and no longer carry my camera in a Pelican case. I do keep a silicon gel container in the bottom of the bag to reduce condensation on the lens.
